Despite the grey weather, a lot of CACE members joined over 1,300 participants in the ‘Running for Europe’ team at the 44th edition of the 20km of Brussels, achieving the highest turnout since 2019. The race, which took place on Sunday 26 May, sold out quickly, with hundreds of colleagues on the waiting list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year\u2019s run focused on the upcoming European Elections under the ‘Use your Vote’ campaign and supported environmental causes by raising funds for Natagora and Natuurpunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although many had already run this race numerous times, this year featured a new portion in the Bois de la Cambre and a new finish area at Cinquantenaire, adding excitement and a fresh challenge for all participants. At the start, some had to be patient, as there were exceptional delays due to works in Schuman and a modified departure route. Also, for the first time, a ‘Running for Europe’ fan zone was set up in the Bois de la Cambre, where supporters cheered on the participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christoph, Sam, Angelo, and Miguel<\/strong> who all finished under 1:20.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Sebastian<\/strong> who set aside the desire to improve his time and was a 1:20 pacemaker.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
All CACE members <\/strong>who improved their personal bests or simply enjoyed the race and crossed the finish line!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n
